Natalia Fernández is an author, educator, and wellness practitioner whose work lives at the intersection of storytelling, healing, and community. With a career spent helping schools blend mental health with social-emotional learning, Natalia has long been committed to giving both children and adults tools to thrive.

Her debut picture book, Big Belly Breaths: A Día de los Muertos Story, is a celebration of culture, love, and emotional awareness. Rooted in mindfulness and tradition, the story offers children a way to navigate big feelings while honoring those who came before us.

Beyond writing, Natalia is a practicing Kundalini meditation breath worker, deepening her practice in wellness and energy work. She believes the power of breath together with creativity are tools to reconnect us with who we truly are.

Natalia lives in Houston, Texas with her partner and two children, who remind her every day that presence, laughter, and deep breaths are some of life’s most essential lessons.
